We are excited to announce our new fall girls high school program. Open evaluations will be held Saturday, August 30th from 4:00 - 5:30 pm at JLS middle school. Register below.
We are excited to announce a new fall high school program for girls in 9th - 12th grades, as part of our Fall Represent season. The objective of this program is to get players ready to participate and excel on their high school teams this winter.
Skills evaluation August 30th
We will be holding a skills evaluations for the teams on Saturday, August 30th from 4:00 - 5:30 pm at JLS Middle School in Palo Alto. If your player cannot attend this evaluation please email rob@4city.us to schedule a makeup.
Coaches
The program will be coached by:
Justin Kitch, 4CITY co-founder and master coach.
Rob Massaad, 4CITY executive director, master coach, and former skills coach of many amazing high school, college (and NBA!) players.
Brooke Demetre, Stanford team captain, McDonalds All American, and California Gatorade Player of the Year.
Practices
Practices will start Wednesday, September 3rd and run through Friday October 24th. We realize that the girls have lots of commitments during this time, including playing other sports, so we have created a schedule that provides several evening options during the week and one Sunday afternoon practice. While we hope girls can attend most of the practices, they are required to attend one of the two “team” practices each week at a minimum. The practice times/locations are:
Skills session on Wednesdays 8:15 - 9:30 pm @ Fletcher
Team practice on Fridays 7:15 - 8:30 pm @ Fletcher
Team practice on Sunday 2:00 - 3:30 pm @ Fletcher
Tournaments
While individual skill development is important, our primary focus will be developing team skills that the girls can carry over to their high school season. In order to hone these skills we will be competing in three AAU tournaments. All tournaments will be “local” although that can still be a decent drive--usually no more than 75 minutes. If you haven’t participated in AAU tournaments before, they do not release the schedule until a few days before, so it creates the annoying situation of having to keep those days open. Our three tournaments will be:
Saturday, October 4th
Saturday, October 18th, and Sunday October 19th
Saturday, October 25th
We ask that the girls prioritize their schedules to attend at least two of the three tournaments.
Fees
Normally an AAU style program like this would cost over $1000 for this many sessions and games. But because 4CITY is a non profit, this is a new program, and our head coach is volunteering his time, we are able to charge only $400 for 24 sessions and three tournaments.
IMPORTANT: When you sign up you will need to use the coupon code GIRLSHSFALL25 at check out to get the $400 price.
